Gemma's
Fairy Tree |

My sister asked me to create
a 'Fairy Tree' for the baby room in honor of my little niece
Gemma. She was born on February 12-2007, and when she came
home to her room, she had a Fairy Tree waiting for her!
The tree was first painted
right onto the wall, and a real tree branch was then attached
to the wall to give the tree a 3D look with part of the
tree coming out of the wall! |

Baby
Gemma's last name is Fox, so I decided to paint a friendly
little baby fox in one corner of Gemma's room. |

Silk flowers were attached to the
branch, and also painted onto the branches of the painted
tree on the wall. In the middle of each flower, the silk
ones as well as the painted ones, I placed a sparkling swarovski
crystal. The entire tree also got a touch of glitter paint
to give it a real fairy tale feel. The result was absolutely
spectacular, and was the perfect Fairy Tree for Gemma!

Gemma's
mommy and daddy's initials are "carved" into the
Fairy Tree.

hope my little niece Gemma will love her room for many
years to come!

It
was my father's birthday while I was
back "home" in Sweden visiting summer
of 2003. I decorated this box for him with
some of the things he loves the most.
First I painted the lid all blue like the
ocean complete with waves lapping the
beach. I added a little boat that I had
bought ready made. I went down to the
beach and gathered rocks and sand and a
little seaweed. I created a little mini beach ontop of the
box.

I made the three seagulls
myself with Fimo clay that I
baked in the oven. |

I
painted all inside the box also to look
like the Stockholm achipelago where my
father loves to go sailing.
 |
Even the inside of the lid
got a special touch.
