very best part of the entire process by far, is when
I finally get to deliver the finished portrait to my
client. To see the look on their face the moment they
see it for the first time is absolutely priceless!

James
is
usually pretty good about figuring out his
gifts. He
slowly......opened the gift. I captured
the moment he first saw the portrait :-) He
was so surprised! It
brought tears to his eyes- not only when he
first saw it but for several minutes after. He
was quite moved. He was also speechless
at one point and he eventually told me that
was the best gift he has ever received. He
stood the
portrait up
against a chair and stared at it for a long
time.
He
is going to hang the
portrait in his office first thing tomorrow
and let everyone know that I gave it to him. I
told him that perhaps he should wait until
after Christmas, but he said "no way!" He
said he is going to take everyone in his office
to see it. He even know exactly where
he is going to hang it! So,
it was a HUGE hit. Thanks,
Martina, for creating such a lovely work of art
that is so cherished by James (and me).
